About this event

Hands-On Workshop

Butch Haislip is masterful at teaching this clever turning technique in which the bottom of vessel is removed, the vessel hollowed, and the bottom replaced with the seam disguised.

Beginner/Intermediate / Advanced

Note: The presenter asks attendees to bring a 3/8" twist drill bit. He will supply the wood blanks but requests a $5 materials donation for the club.

Also, bring a thick CA glue, if don’t have thick, bring medium, to use for putting two parts back together after hollowing.  I would normally use Titebond, but in this situation we don’t have time to get a good bond so I will demonstrate how to use CA and hardener expeditor to bond parts.
